- May children travel alone
on Lakefront?
Yes: With restrictions. Any passenger under the age
of eight must be accompanied by a passenger at least 15 years
of age or older at all times. Passengers between the ages of
eight and 14 years of age may travel unaccompanied if the following
conditions are met in their entirety:
- The passengers' trip will
begin and end on the same schedule.
- The passengers' trip will
be no longer than five (5) hours in duration.
- The passengers' trip must
be completed in daylight hours only.
- Both the origin and destination
stations are full service agencies or company operated facilities.
- The destination station will
be open at the time the passenger is scheduled to arrive.
- Parent, Guardian or Legal
Custodian of the child must complete and sign the Unaccompanied
Child Form authorizing the child to make the trip and return
this to the Customer Service Supervisor on duty. This form specifically
names the person authorizing the trip and the person meeting
the child at the destination station and the telephone number(s)
at which this person may be contacted. It also provides an emergency
contact name and telephone number in the event it is needed.
If any of the above conditions
are not met, then the passenger must be accompanied by a passenger
at least 15 years of age or older in order to travel.

- BAGGAGE: How much baggage
am I allowed to take on a Lakefront Lines bus?
Adults: 2 pieces of baggage which will go under the bus
in the luggage bin and 2 carry-on pieces. Each additional piece
of baggage is $15. Maximum allowable weight for a single piece
of baggage is 60 pounds. A single piece of baggage must not exceed
24" x 24" x 45".
Children: 1 piece of baggage not to exceed 50 pounds in
weight and one piece carry-on. Each additional piece of baggage
is $15.
Exceptions to this limit include:
- Skis and Ski Poles - must be packed in substantial container
and securely fastened.
- Towing Equipment - must be enclosed in rigid containers
and securely strapped; limited to 100 pounds actual weight.
- Bicycles - must be packed in substantial carry
case and securely fastened. Case not to exceed 8" x 32"
x 60". A charge of $15 will be assessed for each bicycle
transported.

- What items should
NOT be packed inside my baggage?
Keep your jewelry, keys, wallet,
eyeglasses, tickets, money, passports, camera, and other valuables
with you in your carry-on luggage. Also, carry on any medication
that you may need during your trip.

- RESTROOMS: Are there
restrooms on the bus?
All Lakefront buses are equipped
with clean restroom facilities located at the rear of the bus.

- SMOKING or ALCOHOLIC
BEVERAGES: Is smoking or alcoholic beverages permitted on the
bus?
No smoking or alcohol of any
kind is permitted on the bus.

- MEALS: Do we stop
for meals?
Most schedules have rest and
meal stops every 2 1/2 to 3 1/2 hours.

- Can I bring food
on the bus?
Food and non-alcoholic beverages
are permitted on the bus.

|
- MOVIES: Do you have
movies on the bus?
Most schedules have general audience
movies. Two to three monitors are strategically located on every
bus for your viewing pleasure.

- TICKETS: Can I buy
tickets over the phone?
YES, tickets may be purchased
over the phone by calling 1-800-331-5009 with a Mastercard, Visa,
or Discover Card. The tickets can be mailed to the passenger.
