This
wonderful tour begins with a visit to Pennsylvania’s oldest
continuous working market house. Built in 1870, the market house
could be considered the “WalMart” of the turn of century.
Here you will find homemade goods of all kinds including crafts,
fresh produce, candies, baked goods, maple sugar products, jewelry
and wood craft demonstrations, and an art gallery.
While
in Meadville there will be time to visit other local shops to
find that special souvenir of the area.

Next,
it’s off to visit the states largest natural lake to take
a leisurely, narrated cruise aboard the Kaylee Belle paddlewheel
boat docked in historic Conneaut Lake Park.

After
the cruise, the afternoon will be spent at the 19th annual Conneaut
Lake Pumpkin Fest where hundreds of vendors display their wares
and a large variety of delicious food is available for lunch and
snacks. The festival also offers a myriad of entertainment such
as the Button Box Player, “Elvis,” waitress races,
pumpkin pie eating contest, “The Monkey Man,” and
who would want to miss a 1,000 pound pumpkin being dropped on
a truck.

After
a great afternoon of food and entertainment it will be time
to do some touring and tasting at the internationally acclaimed
Conneaut Cellars Winery. While in the area you
will be able to enjoy the beautiful colored leaves of the rolling
hills of Pennsylvania.
