Day
3:
Enjoy
breakfast this morning at the hotel before departing for a guided
tour of Montreal. This old city at the junction
of two great rivers has had to grow upward because of the boundaries.
Underground walkways shield its citizens from the elements and
offer more space for development.
Some highlights of the tour include
Old Montreal, Notre Dame Cathedral, Ste. Helene Island,
Mount Royale Park, St. Joseph's Oratroy and the French Latin Quarter.
This afternoon, journey to Quebec
City for another taste of France. Enjoy
dinner tonight at one of the city's fine restaurants and check
into the Clarion Hotel in St. Foy for the evening.
Day
4:
Enjoy
breakfast at the hotel. This morning we will tour Quebec
City, a taste of the Old World in the New World.
This is the only walled city north
of Mexico and is definitely divided into the old and new. Newer
development beyond the Parliament Buildings is shut off from the
winding streets and seventeenth century buildings of Upper and
Lower Town by aging walls.
Highlights of the guided tour are
Place d'Armes, Notre Dame des Victoires, and the Citadel.
This afternoon, the tour continues along the Saint Lawrence
River to spectacular Montmorency Falls,
which are higher than Niagara.
Stops will also be made to the shrine,
Basilique Sainte Anne de Beaupre, and to Marie's
Bread Ovens, where we will savor the aromas of a traditional
bakery. Dinner is included this evening.
Day
5:
After breakfast, enjoy some free time this morning to experience
Quebec City before returning to Montreal. Once
in Montreal and after checking into the hotel, enjoy an evening
of dining and entertainment at the famous Festin Du Governeurs.

Day

After breakfast, say "au revoir and salut" as a toast
to two marvelous cosmopolitan Canadian cities with an old world
flavor and depart for Toronto where we will overnight.
