1:
 Board
the motorcoach and relax as we make our way to Washington
D.C. with appropriate stops along the way. Visit the
Smithsonian Institution museums on the National
Mall. Visit the Steven F. Udvar-Hazy Center.
Then, visit the Smithsonian Institution's National Air
and Space Museum. Visitors are able to walk among the
exhibits and view them from elevated "skyways."
There is an Observation Tower where
visitor's can watch air traffic at Dulles International Airport.
Do not bring sharp items into the museums, all bags,
purses, shopping bags, suitcases, etc. will be hand searched.
Depart and enjoy dinner at JR's
Stockyards Inn, an award winning fine dining restaurant
located in popular McLean, Virginia. Check into the Marriott Fairview
Park in Falls Church, Virginia for the remainder of the evening.
Day 2:
Enjoy
breakfast at the hotel before departing for guided touring of
the Memorials. Visit Mount Vernon, the estate
of George Washington, where he escaped the rigor
of public office and enjoyed the life of a successful Virginia
planter. Visit the Ford Orientation Center and
Donald W. Reynolds Museum and Education Center.
Enjoy a colonial lunch at the Mount
Vernon Inn. After lunch, continue touring with stops at the George
Washington Masonic National Memorial, offering one of
the finest views of Washington, plus an extraordinary collection
of Colonial Era treasures.
Depart
and drive through the historic Old Town Alexandria,
once a thriving seaport for the young American nation. Today,
it is a charming, historic city with a small-town feel. Some of
the historic sites in Old Town includes Christ Church
whose architecture dates back to 1773; Robert E. Lee’s boyhood
home; Stabler-Leadbeater Apothecary Shop, the
second oldest drugstore in the nation until it closed in 1933;
and Carlyle House and Historic Park.

Afterwards,
meet the tour guide at Market Square for the
Alexandria history and food tour, exploring parts of the historic
and architecturally unique town that has prospered for over 200
years.
Experience
and learn about Old Town Alexandria’s significance
throughout the history of our country. Also, stop to sample specifically
made dishes at long standing family owned restaurants which may
include traditional Lebanese dishes, Old Town’s
Famous 125 year old Jelly Cake, global inspired cuisine,
fresh baked bread, local seafood specialties served in an eighteenth
century captain’s warehouse, freshly brewed specialty teas
served at one of the Washington, D.C. area’s last standing
tea shop. 
Enjoy
spooky ghost tales along the way. Return to the hotel for the
evening.
Day
3:
Enjoy
breakfast at the hotel before departing for more guided touring.
The first stop is Arlington National Cemetery.
No land in America is more sacred than this squared mile, America’s
shrine to valor and sacrifice. This is the final resting place
for President John F. Kennedy, Jacqueline Kennedy Onassis, Audie
Murphy, prizefighter Joe Louis, and thousands of soldiersfrom
every major United States war.
Afterwards,
arrive at the Marine Corps War Memorial, one
of the largest bronze statues which depicts the American Flag
being raised on Mount Suribachi during World War II, commemorating
all marines who have died in battle since 1775.
Enjoy
lunch on your own in the museum’s cafeteria. After lunch,
visit the National Museum of American History,
featuring a special state-of-the-art gallery displaying the original
Star Spangled Banner, and much more.
Depart
and make stops at The White House for a photo
opportunity, the Vietnam Veterans Memorial, the Korean
War Veterans Memorial, Lincoln Memorial, Embassy Row, Washington
National Cathedral, and the Memorial at the Pentagon.

Enjoy
dinner this evening at Tony & Joe’s on the waterfront
in Georgetown. Afterwards, stop at the Pentagon 9/11 Memorial
Park, honoring the 184 victims of the September 11, 2001 attack.
Please note that walking is required to reach the memorial grounds.

Also,
visit the Air Force Memorial, built on a hillside
overlooking the Pentagon. Return to the hotel for the night.
Day
4:
Enjoy
breakfast at the hotel prior to checking out and departing for
The New Capitol Visitor’s Center, the largest
project in the Capitol’s 215-year history and is approximately
three quarters the size of the Capitol itself.
Also
included is a stop at the United States Capitol,
the most recognized symbol of democratic government in the world.
Tour the Library of Congress and The Supreme Court Building.
Enjoy
lunch on your own at the Capitol Visitors Center cafeteria before
departing for home with fond memories of our trip.
