Day
1:
Board the motorcoach and relax as we make our way to Waynesville,
Ohio with stops along the way.

The
first stop is in Columbus, Ohio at the State House.
Conductors with lanterns will guide us through the darkened hallways
and chambers of the Statehouse. It’s a
little spooky, and who knows? We may meet some famous ghosts from
Ohio past.
Following
the tour, lunch is on your own in the Short North area before
continuing on to Waynesville. Meet our ghostly guide who will
take us on a twilight and historic walking ghost tour as we enjoy
the most fascinating and true stories of the place known as “The
Most Haunted Village in Ohio.”
Enjoy
some shopping time before beginning the tours. Afterwards, a ghost
and goblet dinner awaits at the historic Hammel House,
built in 1822.
Watch out for ghostly happenings
during dinner. Check into the Holiday Inn Express for the evening.
Day
2:
Enjoy breakfast at the hotel before beginning the day with a tour
of Bern’s Garden Center, one of the area’s
largest garden centers. Talk with the horticulturists and browse
the gift shop. Everyone will take home a seasonal potted plant.
Next,
visit Friesinger’s Fine Chocolates, in
existence since 1879. Taste various candies produced on site and
watch the family as they make these irresistible treats. Enjoy
lunch at Der Dutchman, dining family-style with chicken and roast
beef, real mashed potatoes and gravy, noodles salad, hot vegetable,
fresh bread, and scrumptious pumpkin pie for dessert.
Also,
browse the shops around the complex and purchase bakery treats
to take home. “Witches Brew,” loaded with over 20
show tunes, is the matinee cabaret show performance at Der Dutchman.
Be aware, the audience is not out of reach of the Witch of Halloween!
Afterwards,
tour the Harding home in Franklin. Previous guests
have experienced General Harding himself in full World War II
attire at the top of the stairs. Visit Barn n’ Bunk for
dinner and pumpkin decorating.
Day
3:
Enjoy
our farewell breakfast before checking out and departing for a
guided tour of Spring Grove Cemetery and Arboretum, one
of the largest cemeteries in the United States where legends abound.
One of the strangest legends is that of a statue with human eyes.
See it for yourself.
This
cemetery is the final resting place of many famous individuals.
There are thirty-four Civil War Generals, ten governors from three
states, and Gothic castles and headstones.

Enjoy
a guided tour of Music Hall where we will experience
Bones and Shivers.
Wearied spirits still haunt the Music Hall with doors that open
and close in the ballroom with nobody nearby. Screams and moans
are said to be heard at times during performances.
Enjoy
lunch at Washington Platform Restaurant, a restored
piece of Cincinnati history and heritage established in 1860.
Reestablished in 1986, the building offers a reputation as “deliciously
friendly.”
