Tour Policies

IMPORTANT POLICIES AND PROCEDURES

Lakefront Lines, Inc. must adhere to changes presented by hotels, attractions, restaurants, etc. In turn, we must ask you to comply with the policies and procedures set forth by our company due to these changes. The following policies and procedures are effective as of January 1, 2015. Please visit the following tour policy pages for more specific information. Policies subject to change without notification, please contact Lakefront Lines with questions.

 

ONE-DAY TOUR RESERVATIONS are confirmed upon receipt of a $100 deposit. You have 30 days prior to your trip date to cancel for a full refund of your deposit. Refer to your contract for specific cancellation policies.

MULTI-DAY TOUR RESERVATIONS are confirmed upon receipt of a $300 deposit. You have 45 days prior to your trip date to cancel for a full refund of your deposit. Refer to your contract for specific cancellation policies.

After receiving your initial deposit we will send you a contract and itinerary along with a stamped, self-addressed envelope in which to return your signed contract.

Full payment is due 14 days prior to departure date for all trips.

The final payment must be in the form of cash, cashier’s check or money order.

ADDITIONAL DEPOSITS AND PAYMENTS may be required by hotels, attractions, restaurants, theaters, etc. Once we have received notification from any hotel, restaurant, theater or attraction regarding payment requirements, you will be notified. At that time it will be necessary for us to request payment from you. If your deposits and/or payments do not reach our office by the stated due date, Lakefront Lines, Inc. will not be responsible for cancellations by any hotel, attraction, theater, restaurant, etc.

TICKETS: Full payment for tickets to a theater, show, boat, train, sporting event, special exhibition, etc. are usually required at the time of reservation and are NON-REFUNDABLE. If cancellation is allowed, the cut-off date varies with each package. Please be accurate in your count when ordering tickets. Lakefront Lines, Inc. will not be responsible for payment of tickets or securing refunds.

CONFIRMATION: In order for Lakefront Lines, Inc. to provide you with the best possible trip, we must ask you for a final count 7 days in advance of your trip. Restaurants, attractions, etc., must have these counts to insure the proper preparation for your passengers.

The Group Department at Lakefront Lines is aware of the fact that it is sometimes necessary to cancel a passenger(s) on a trip for which the expense has already been paid. While we understand that these last minute cancellations are sometimes unavoidable, it is not always possible to refund monies paid to us. We make every effort to secure refunds from attractions/restaurants/hotels, etc., but this is a process that can take weeks. If we are successful in obtaining refunds you will be notified.

TOUR INFORMATION

ROOMING LIST: On multi-day tours, the initial rooming list is due 30 days prior to your trip, unless otherwise specified in your
contract. Changes can normally be made up to 14 days prior.

BAGGAGE: Each passenger will be provided with handling cost on one large piece of luggage throughout multi-day tours. However, you may carry a small overnight case on board that will be stored in the overhead racks on the coach. An overnight case is the passenger’s responsibility. Any items carried on the coach, such as coolers, strollers, backpacks, or food are the customer’s responsibility. Baggage handlers and Professional Bus Operators are not responsible for these items. Lakefront luggage tags will be furnished upon request.

PRICING: Our pricing is based on 34 & 40 paying passengers. Once your required number of paying passengers has been met, you will receive two double occupancy complimentary packages. If the group size is smaller than 34, call for additional pricing.

Our prices are based on quotations received late in 2014. In the event that we have an increase from a supplier or because of our inability to forecast fuel prices, we reserve the right to increase our prices accordingly.

GRATUITIES: Each applicable travel package has been priced to include the meal gratuities. The practice of tipping step-on guides, tour escorts and motorcoach operators is customary, but not included.

ESCORTS: Group leaders will usually act as the tour escort. A Lakefront Lines escort can be provided at a fee of $75 per day, plus additional traveling expenses.
